How to Monitor Google Places Step by Step

Google Places Monitoring is a Free Bonus for our Promotion Customers

  1. Log into your socialpromos.com Account at http://www.socialpromos.com/
  2. Choose “Locations” on the top navigation

  3. For New Locations: If you have not set up a location, click “Add New Location” to add a Location first. Enter the location name and address and click “Add Location”. After the location is added click  the “Manage” button and proceed to the next step.

  4. After a location is setup, click “Manage” and then click “Update Places Page”image 
  5. We will Query the Google Places API based on the name of your location.  Click “Choose” to select the location you would like to monitor.

  6. Once your Google Places is chosen, we will automatically monitor it for changes.  If your rating changes, or your “Most Helpful Reviews” change we will email you with the full details.

  7. To send yourself a test email click the “Test Places Alert” link.

    Your test email will look like nothing changes (since it’s a test)

  8. You Alert Emails will contain your changed rating if it changed and your “Most Helpful Reviews” if they changed.image
  9. To Remove or Change Your Google Places choice for a location, click “Update Places Page” and then click “Remove”

  10. You can then choose a different Google Places Page for that location if you wish.
